Here at GIS, good competition is always anticipated. It gives the students a great way to better themselves while maintaining a positive and happy environment.
The house committee is elated to announce that they are bringing the house points system back, in order to promote this spirit of competitiveness. There are four houses in GIS: Green Mambas, Yellow Pythons, Blue Dragons, and Red Raptors. If a student shows good behaviour, participation or work while they are in school, the house that they are a part of gets allocated points. This point system goes on and by the end of the year, a victor is announced.
Many people have missed how big of a deal the competition between houses was in GIS not many years ago, and it has upset a lot of people to see how it isn’t something we focus on anymore. That’s why this academic year, the house committee hopes to bring that excitement and competition back while still maintaining a good environment.
If you have any doubts or if you would like to get in touch with the house committee, you can email the head of the committee, Eashani Sarup at eashani.s@gemsisak.com.

this is great news i've really been missing the house point system. its implemented into our neighboring school WEK and its so important that kids are actively trying to do good work to earn them and avoid breaking school rules
