October
We all know that October is dedicated to breast cancer awareness, mental health, thanksgiving, and Halloween, but did you know that October has a lot to do with food as well?
For coffee lovers out there! International Coffee Day on 1st October. For all the plant eaters, World Vegetarian Day on 1st October. And for the growing boys and girls World Food Day on 16th October.
Did you know that there is a day dedicated to the United Nations?

What does the UN have to do with this food blog?
This year is going to mark 75 years since the UN was formed. 51 countries gathered in order to form peace and safety in this world after World War 2 in 1945.
They help several causes around the world, including World Hunger, hence the formation of Food and Agriculture Organization.
I chose this topic because the UN symbolises countries coming together that put aside their differences to make the world a better place. I find this relates well to our GIS community.
Let’s all play a part
Zero waste of food
Eat right! Don’t eat too much or too little. Obesity and malnutrition are global issues.
Help the less privileged - donate food supplies to countries that need it most. You can help in the UAE too! Check out the UAE Food Bank
Time to tease those tastebuds - Food Fusion is in the House 😎🍱
