On October 11th, we whizzed through the day as if it were any other, without realizing how significant it actually is. As declared by the UN and made official since 2012, October 11th is International Girl Child Day, also known as the Day Of Girls. This day supports more opportunity for girls and increases awareness of gender inequality towards females worldwide. It’s amazing how the UN has a special day dedicated towards the female population, and really shows how much bringing about change is a priority. And although it’s a little late, at The Link, we think it’s only appropriate to celebrate this beautiful but underrated day by recognizing our all-new female lead Student Body Leadership Team that roams the school halls with us. So here’s their message to all you girls.
