Donald Trump and Covid-19

So as many of you know the coronavirus pandemic has struck hard moreover has been demanding medical workers to serve on a level that has never been unleashed before. You see even after all of this the 45th president of the USA better distinguished as Donald Trump refuses to wear a mask not only does he

refuse but also his supporters also refuse to wear a mask. this obviously has become a serious problem but it doesn't end there. Of course, actions can have consequences.

On Friday, October 2 Donald Trump stated on twitter that himself and first lady Melania Trump had contracted COVID now this was a huge shocker to the country because their leader had just got a deadly virus and what makes this virus even deadlier is that his physician said, “that first, he is 74, and people who are older than 65 are more vulnerable to the virus he also stated that he has high cholesterol and is obese for his height”. The shocking part was that he is A-symptomatic. Not only did he and Melania trump get it, but he also spread the virus to his secretary Katie Miller and including the most recent case Robert C. O’Brien, his national security adviser, who had a mild case before returning to work in August. But the most interesting part has not even come yet. Over 210,000 people have died in America because of this virus and trump is the only one in the world to get the Dexamethasone drug.

US President Donald Trump says he feels great after his Covid-19 illness, describing it as "a blessing from God".

Mr Trump returned to the Oval Office on Wednesday, officials said, less than a week after testing positive.

The president has had no Covid-19 symptoms for more than 24 hours and has been fever-free for more than four days, his doctor, Sean Conley, said. In a video message on Wednesday, Mr Trump said: “All Americans should have access to the treatments he was given”. Mr Trump also promised to provide the drugs produced by Regeneron Pharmaceuticals that are going to be free of charge.

He said the experimental antibody cocktail he was given last week was a cure rather than a healing measure, adding that hundreds of thousands of doses were nearly ready. But Regeneron's drugs have not been approved by governmental control.

"This was a blessing in disguise - I caught it, I heard about this drug, I said let me take it and it was incredible," he said, adding that he would seek emergency and use authorizations for the drugs.

President Trump renewed his attacks on China, telling Americans: "You're not going to pay for it. It wasn't your fault that this happened. It was China's fault. And China is going to pay a big price. This was China's fault."

Earlier, Dr Conley said the president had not needed any supplemental oxygen since going to the hospital on Friday. He was discharged on Monday. Mr Trump's supporters say that he has shown leadership since his release from the hospital. But his opponents say his behaviour has become increasingly unpredictable. The White House has also set out new safety measures after President Trump's return from the hospital and the news that another aide had Covid-19.

What is the dexamethasone medicine drug?

This steroid saves lives by pacifying the immune system, but it needs to be taken at the right time. Giving it too early and the drug could make things worse by diminishing the body's ability to fight off the virus. This is not a drug you would normally give in the "mild" stage of the disease. A trial of the drug which took place in the UK showed that the benefit propelled in at the point where the person needs oxygen - which Mr Trump receives. The World Health Organization advises using the drug in "severe and critical" cases. Mr Trump's blood oxygen levels did dip below 94%, which is one of the National Institutes of Health criteria for "severe illness". However, those low oxygen levels were not sustained and the gap between someone needing temporary oxygen support and advanced Covid is massive. Some have suggested that the president could be disabled because of the effects that the drug can have on the mind. Dexamethasone's side effects include anxiety, altered mood, and cognitive impairment, but these are more common with continued use, rather than the short course that Trump is currently receiving.
